Does this mean some children are in daycare for 24 hours straight?

Just because a daycare center or home is open 24 hours a day does not mean children are there for 24 hours straight. Like traditional childcare, families drop off their children at the start of their workday (or night) and pick them up after their shift ends.

Most children are in traditional daycare anywhere from 6-10 hours per day, and the total hours spent would be similar at a 24-hour daycare.
